Emotion. That's really what this election is about - really what every election is about. Coming from a marketing background, I know that almost every decision in life is an emotional decision. Think about what pushed you over the edge the last time you made a decision to do just about anything. How big a factor were the emotions you felt. If you're honest with yourself, emotions probably were the thing that pushed you over the edge - whether you were buying food at the grocery store, a new car or house or choosing a spouse or a church or a community.
Obama had all the emotion in this current political race, that was until Sarah Palin. John McCain understands fully the role of emotion in choosing the next president. Obama has an evident grasp on this truth also.
Do you feel manipulated? You should. And it's gonna get worse.
You can't pull emotion out of decision making, you'd be in-human if you did that, but the best decision makers don't let emotion lead. Whether your at home, at work, at Church or in a voting booth, be wary of those who try to whip up emotions in you before you have to make a decision - they are trying to cloud the main issues.
