That children's song is stuck in my head this morning!
It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring.
Bumped his head and he went to bed
and he couldn't get up in the morning.
So I'm thinking about this and realize that I'm 50 and snore. Geez, when did I become the old man!
As we launch this new product I've been working on that has seen a year of production delays getting to market, I find myself trying to fund myself again to not drain the company of all it's cash before we can make the launch happen. Raining.
Trying to fund yourself after having funded yourself for months in the past year becomes quickly a jobhunt. In an economy where the unemployment rate is Empire State Building high, it's interesting at best. Raining.
So Sunday, I get up and go in to the garage to feed the cats and see that our water heater is leaking all over the garage floor. I have to leave in 20 minutes to lead worship at Church and had planned on job hunting all day as well as finishing up our e-mail campaign details for the new product. Spent Sunday replacing the water heater - thank goodness I still have some skills from the old days. Raining.
After 2 weeks now of looking around for work, consulting, sales, Wal-Mart greeting, all the while working on my current project, it appears relocation will need to be in our future! Pouring.
I haven't bumped my head before going to bed and I'm still getting up in the morning - though it tends to be 4am these days. It may be raining and pouring, but God in His providence brings the rain on all of us. If it's His rain, bring it on, I won't even use an umbrella....
